Are you looking for a convenient money and time-saving online shopping experience? Look no more! Read on for 5 benefits of shopping Walmart.com!
For the longest time, I resisted online shopping.
I stood firm in my opinion that it was much better to see and feel items I wanted to buy in-person, instead of someone else picking them out and shipping them to me.
I also associated online shopping with high delivery fees which go against my budget-conscious nature.
However, when I discovered online retailers like Amazon and eBay to name a few, I was quickly converted to the world of online shopping.
Although I do prefer buying some things in-store, being able to browse and buy some of my favorite items from the comfort of my own home was a game-changer for me.
I was even more excited when Walmart, one of the biggest and most well-known retailers in the world, launched their online store.
Unlike some of the popular online retailers, Walmart.com is the perfect combination of online and brick-and-mortar shopping.

Walmart is known for offering everyday items at low prices compared to some of their competitors.
Here are a few ways to save with Walmart.com:
- With a quick search of Rollbacks and clearance items at your fingertips, it is easy to find your favorite items at the lowest prices, sometimes lower than the same items in-store.
- Shop Walmart.com with money-saving apps like Ebates and Ibotta.
- Take advantage of price-matching for online purchases. Be sure to check out Walmart.com’s price matching policy to be sure you’re paying the lowest price possible.
- For in-store purchases only, you can use the Walmart Savings Catcher app to receive credit if some of your items are priced lower in other stores’ current ads. The good news is that you can use the Savings Catcher credits to purchase items on Walmart.com.
Larger Selection Online
Walmart is known for its massive brick-and-mortar stores filled with every item you can imagine.
However, Walmart.com’s online section is even bigger, providing you with more options to choose your favorite items.
In addition to popular name brand products and Walmart brand items, you can also purchase items from Walmart Marketplace, which includes smaller businesses and sellers who partner with Walmart.com to make their products available to you.
Choose Shipping or In- Store Pick-Up
One of the biggest benefits of online shopping is having your items delivered to your front door.
But sometimes, that may not be ideal. If you live in an apartment, items may accidentally be delivered to the wrong person. Or, even worse, are stolen.
Depending on your preference, Walmart.com offers both delivery and in-store pick up.
Shipping is free for orders over $35, with some items qualifying for free 2-day shipping. In-store pick up for your online order is free, regardless of the order amount (check the website for current information).
Grocery Pick-Up and Delivery Services
I don’t know about you, but saving money and time on grocery shopping is one of my biggest challenges.
One of the newest benefits Walmart offers is grocery pick-up and delivery services.
An extension of Walmart.com, Walmart Grocery allows you to shop for your favorite food and household items from the comfort of your own home, and submit your order for either pick-up or, in some locations, delivery.
Pick-up is free; you’ll arrive at the store, park in a designated space, and a store associate will bring your groceries to your car and load them for you. Delivery is available in some locations for a small fee.
You can also save money by referring family and friends to Walmart Grocery. Look for the referral link on the Walmart Grocery website (here’s mine), and both of you will receive a code for $10 off the next order.
Whether an impulse buy or the item just didn’t work for you, you will occasionally have to return items to the store.
One of the best features of Walmart.com is free returns, either by mail or in-store. As long as items are in their original package and not visibly worn or used, you should have no problems returning them.
If mailing an item back to Walmart, they will send you a shipping label. If returning items in-store, you’ll use the Walmart app to scan your digital receipt at the store.
Some Marketplace items may have return fees involved, so be sure to check the current return policy for details.
